Ferran Torres wins player of final after Spain beat Argentina

Spain beat holders Argentina 1-0 in the 2026 World Cup final and lifted the trophy for the second time since 2010.

Ferran Torres scored the only goal in the 106th minute and was named player of the match afterwards.

The result completed a final in which Spain did enough to edge past the reigning champions and secure the title.
