France secured a 2-0 win over Morocco in their World Cup quarter-final to book a semi-final place in Boston.
Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé scored for Didier Deschamps' side, with Mbappé striking in the 60th minute and Dembélé adding the second six minutes later.
Mbappé had earlier missed a penalty in the 28th minute, then left the pitch in the 77th minute after an injury and was replaced by Mateta.
The result sends France into the World Cup semi-finals for the third successive tournament.
Mbappé also reached 20 World Cup goals, becoming only the second player to do so after Lionel Messi, who has 21.
