Busquets holds the appearance and win records
El Clásico has produced more than a century of individual records, with Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi above the rest in the published figures.
Busquets made 48 appearances in the fixture, the most of any player. The former Barcelona midfielder also won it 23 times, more than anyone else in the history of the rivalry.
Ramos sits on the losing side of the record list
At the other end of the ledger, Sergio Ramos has the most defeats in El Clásico, with 20. The former Real Madrid captain played in many of the biggest meetings between the clubs, then continued his career with Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla.
Messi leads the scoring and assist charts
Messi remains the top scorer in the fixture with 26 goals in all competitions. He also holds the assist record, with 14.
El Clásico has long been a stage for individual records as well as team results, and some of them may stand for years to come.
