Yan Diomande calls Real Madrid the world’s best club

Yan Diomande has described Real Madrid as “the best club in the world” in a short interview about his game, his tastes and his aims for the season ahead.

Asked to sum up his style, Diomande picked out two traits: “fast and agile.” He also said he does not want his impact to be judged only by goals, even if he plans to score as many as he can.

“I don’t know, but I will do everything to score a lot of goals,” he said. “Of course it is not just about scoring; I want to help the team with what I do on the pitch too.”

Food and off-pitch choices

Diomande named pasta and Bolognese as his favourite dishes. He also said that if he could take one team-mate to his home city, he would choose Sekoji in Abidjan so they could eat attieke, one of Ivory Coast’s best-known foods.

He closed with a joke about a hidden talent, saying he cannot dance and suggesting that may be his secret skill.
