Greece vs Netherlands 2-2

Greece and the Netherlands drew 2-2 in Thessaloniki after the visitors came back from two goals down. Georgios Masouras came off the bench in the 18th minute and helped turn a half that Greece had already put in hand, before Tijjani Reijnders levelled late on.

Fotis Ioannidis opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, finishing from Georgios Masouras after he had come on in the 18th minute, and Greece led 1-0. Masouras then struck in first-half stoppage time, on 45+2 minutes, with Ioannidis providing the assist after his own goal earlier in the half. That left Greece 2-0 up at the break.

The Netherlands made three changes at the interval and got back into the game through Virgil van Dijk on 59 minutes, from Joey Veerman, for 2-1. Denzel Dumfries then had a goal ruled out by VAR in the 66th minute, before Tijjani Reijnders, who had come on in the 45th minute, made it 2-2 on 89 minutes. Greece made two changes on 71 minutes and another two on 83, but could not hold on, while the Netherlands kept pushing late after their own earlier reshuffle.

The Netherlands had 71% of possession and 615 passes to Greece's 246, with 19 shots to 8 and 8 corners to 6. Greece had 4 shots on target to the Netherlands' 5, and both sides had a narrow spread in the rest of the numbers, with 6 fouls against 7, 3 offsides against 4, and 3 saves to 2.

Greece were booked twice, with Konstantinos Tzolakis cautioned in the 67th minute and Manolis Saliakas in the 76th. No one was sent off, and Noa Lang was the only Netherlands player booked, also in the 76th minute.
