Palmeiras vs Bahia 1-0

Palmeiras beat Bahia 1-0 at Nubank Parque after José Manuel López struck early and that first-half goal proved enough. Bahia had the ball for long spells, but Palmeiras held on to the end.

López opened the scoring in the 7th minute, turning in Alexander Barboza’s assist to put Palmeiras 1-0 up. That was the only goal before half-time, and the interval score stayed Palmeiras 1-0 Bahia.

Bahia then made two more changes on 82 minutes, with Mateo Naín Sanabria and Willian José replacing Cristian Olivera and Alejo Veliz. Palmeiras kept the clean sheet despite a late push that never brought an equaliser.
